DJ Robe
Your DJ and owner of Quests End Robe, has been passionately DJ’ing since 1983.
He started young into music by recording songs off the radio and was even on the 850 CKRD Morning Show once in 1983 through the Kids Wish program in Red Deer; where he got to DJ with Ron McLean before his CBC sportcaster days. Robe has been hooked on playing music ever since!
Robe started Quests End when he was 16 with a $3000 Student Business Loan that he obtained from CBDB in Red Deer and with his father, went to Calgary to get some DJ equipment. As well as having an Uncle's guidance in DJ'ing, who ran a mobile DJ outfit called "Phenomenal Music" in Saskatoon, he got some training inspiration and some much needed music to start his own company. From a start with tape music and a 250W system, Robe's been expanding ever since to not only be the best in his style, but offer the best in quality to an industry that often takes it for granted.
Style:
While Robe provides a vibrant, energetic, & professional personality while spinning the discs throughout the night, he prefers to let the “music do the talking”, which ensures you get the most dance time out of your function and that you're not paying for a lot of talking. You'll hear him on the microphone asking for requests and making general announcments; though he's comfortable enough with crowds to MC events as well, even at the last minute.
He has experience in both club and mobile formats, though he prefers the mobile DJ format for its vast uniqueness in crowd and versatility in music formats. Overall, Robe only has fun when you and your guests are enjoying the music and dancing the night away!

Life:
Robe has a BSc. in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry and his daily professional occupation has him working from home, where he enjoys the opportunity to work and enjoy the moments life offers with his beautiful wife Cass and new born daughter Kira. He has also loves his pets, as his family has two Golder Retrievers (Lilo & Stitch) and two tabby cats (Goofy & Slinky). In his very limited spare time, Robe's other passion for Star Wars had him make a realistic Star Wars costume in time for Episode III in 2005 and he became a member of the 501st Legion. if you're a Star Wars fan, he'll be happy to talk to you!
Robe is also your contact for anything that is First Aid related during the night and is trained in Emergency & Standard First-Aid and CPR. Robe was previously an EVO and an EMT-A student in 1992 as well as a CPR instructor from '93 - '97; but chose a career in Engineering instead of Emergency medicine, in which he has been much happier since he gets to DJ and be home more often.
Sean - aka LJ Hokey Pokey - Customer Service Manager and Professional Light Jockey
Sean has been with Quests End since 1996 and not only helps in taking requests, but making the lightshow sparkle throughout the night to the music. You’ll also see his passion for music throughout the night when he bounces away to the tunes and helps with participation dances, such as the Hokey Pokey!
Sean worked with Dean to bring the new LightQuest & WeddingQuest packages to reality, making the best visual experience possible by coordinating the effects needed to offer a broad variety of effects to the dancing crowd.
Style:
Sean is an instrumental key to the success of every function he attends, as he ensures the night is running smoothly with our comprehensive lightshow, providing a visual dance of colours and effects while taking requests from your guests throughout the night. Sean's style runs from sublte during the slow dances to knocking your socks off with our extraordinary display of lighting effects, it's a lightshow you'll never forget!
Sean's favourite part of DJ'ing is having a good time listening to the music and putting on the lightshow while everyone dances. In fact, Sean will even go out to help teach the Hokey Pokey or Bunny Hop, get the Limbo going, and is our Construction Worker during the YMCA.
Life:
Sean has a BSc. in Electronics Engineering Technology and has a professional occupation as a Project Manager with Deltatee Enterprises where they do Research and Design development; turning Idea's into Reality!
Dean - aka Out to Pasture - Media Guru and retired Light Jockey
Dean has been with Quests End since 2000 and has overseen the development of the website and coordinates customer service needs at functions by taking requests and ensures that your dance experience is spectacular throughout the night by operating the lightshow as well.
Dean worked with Sean to bring the new LightQuest & WeddingQuest packages to reality, making the best visual experience possible by coordinating the effects needed to offer a broad variety of effects to the dancing crowd. In fact, Dean was instrumental to the upgrades as he researched our past effect lighting of only eight effects and did a comprehensive analysis to determine what the most cost effective upgrades would be to provide the lightshow you now see with Quests End.
Style:
Dean's lightshow is very different in style, he focuses on a balanced lighting approach and structures the effects in a more complementary style more so than the other LJs in Quests End. He makes the effects dance in an intimate pattern and uses not only the floor, but the walls and ceiling as his tapestry of effects. You'll see him throughout the night intently focused on his task while taking the requests through the evening.His favourite part of DJ'ing other than the food, is seeing all the different people and venues and enjoys putting on a good show! Dean is our Army guy during the YMCA!
Life:
Dean has an Honours Diploma in New Media from SAIT, and is currently working as an AVID editor, motion designer, and voice-over artist.
